Interview with Mary D. Lankford, a librarian, concerning her experiences as a student in the Library School at North Texas State College and her career as a public school librarian. Lankford discusses her teachers and courses at North Texas, her employment at Clinton P. Russell Elementary School in Dallas, Texas in 1952, her job as multi-school librarian in Dover Delaware in 1959, her job as a school librarian in Roswell, New Mexico, her job as a school librarian at Brandenburg Elementary School in Irving, Texas, the development of the library at Brandenburg Elementary, the introduction of audio-visual materials, attitudes toward technological innovations and their use in libraries, her career as an author, and her activities with professional organizations.
